Signature-Serie: Monarch und Hellsehen.
Die beiden neuen Monitore bauen auf dem Erfolg der planar-magnetischen Kopfhörer Thieaudio Phantom und der In-Ear-Monitore (IEMs) der Serien Voyager und Legacy auf und nutzen die neueste Treibertechnologie des dänischen Herstellers Sonion – den elektrostatischen (EST) Hochtöner. Der EST-Treiber verfügt über eine ultraleichte Membran in einer kleinen Hochtönerkammer, die von einem unabhängigen Transformator angetrieben wird, um den Höhenbereich des In-Ear-Monitors auf bis zu 80 kHz zu erweitern.
Monarch - König der IEMs
Von der Abstimmung bis zu den technischen Möglichkeiten wurde der Monarch entwickelt, um das Beste herauszuholen, was In-Ear-Monitore bieten können. Die Klangsignatur musste analytisch sein, um Präzision und eine Abstimmung im Referenzstil zu erzielen. Dies erforderte einen linearen Mitteltonbereich, der alle Instrumente im Gleichgewicht zueinander platziert und einen insgesamt sauberen und schlanken Klang liefert. Der Übergang von Mittel- zu Hochtönen erreicht seinen Höhepunkt am Resonanzpunkt des inneren Gehörgangs und wird über den gesamten oberen Frequenzbereich aufrechterhalten, um die Detailwiedergabe und Obertonpräsenz zu maximieren. Dennoch wurde sorgfältig darauf geachtet, die Höhen glatt und frei von scharfen Spitzen oder Einbrüchen zu machen, um unangenehme Unregelmäßigkeiten der oberen Harmonischen zu vermeiden. Wir finden, dass der Monarch zu den wenigen IEMs auf dem Markt gehört, die die Balanced Armature- und EST-Treiber wirklich und zusammenhängend integrieren, sodass ihr Potenzial voll ausgeschöpft wird. Der Monarch ist Thieaudios bestes Beispiel für technologische und klangliche Innovation und bereit, den musikalischen Standard für In-Ear-Monitore neu zu definieren. Am anderen Ende des Spektrums wurden ein dynamischer 10-mm-Treiber und Multi-Balanced-Armature-Tieftöner eingesetzt, um einen druckvollen Subbass-Effekt zu erzielen. Der Tiefpasspunkt wurde unter 150 Hz gewählt, um einen noch saubereren Mitteltonbereich zu erzeugen, während gleichzeitig ein kraftvoller Subbass die Grundlage bildet.

Tatsächlich verbessert die Verwendung dieser Treiberkonfigurationen effektiv die extreme Höhenreaktion und sorgt dadurch für einen langwierigen Höhenabfall, eine luftigere Atmosphäre und eine verbesserte Klangauflösung. Die korrekte Implementierung von EST-Treibern kann dazu führen, dass normale Balanced-Armature-Treiber-Ohrhörer im Vergleich dazu langweilig und glanzlos erscheinen. Durch die Kombination des EST-Treibers mit einem neu entwickelten dynamischen Biopolymer-Treiber und herkömmlichen Balanced Armatures haben wir zwei einzigartige IEMs entwickelt. Der Monarch konzentriert sich auf eine präzise Höhenreaktion mit extremer Detailwiedergabe und hohem Maß an Klarheit. Aufgrund seiner charakteristischen Klangsignatur ist er ein außergewöhnlicher Kandidat für eine CIEM-Passform (Custom In-Ear Monitor). Der Clairvoyance betont eine natürliche Tonalität mit einem kräftigen Subbass und einem weicheren Höhenbereich. Als Neuinterpretation der beliebten Harman-Kurve betont der Clairvoyance einen sauberen Klang mit einem ausdrucksstarken Subbass und erweiterten hohen Frequenzen. They sound great!!! lots of details in treble and fast / textured bass. Mids are smooth. I changed the eartips for xelastec (more treble) or jvc spiral dots (more smooth mids), depending of the kind of sound i want. I also associated the Monarch with the Dunu blanche cable (300€).
Right away, this is the most detailed sound i ever heard in an IEM. It's truely impressive what the monarch can extract from your tracks. Highs are perfection, high mids and mids are very detailed again but i would say at the expense of some slight harshness around 5K (to me) but also depends of the pairing (output impedance, freq response, etc.. of your gear) and likely tips too.
My only grip with the Monarch is actually the low end, i don't care it's somewhat elevated, but i think it's too elevated in subbass and not as super tight as i would have liked, to make it perfect. It's still a very impressive set on most tracks but for that reason i only give it 4 stars.
Overall it's still probably one the best IEM you can get for the money and it's in my opinion unrivaled in details and clarity.
Monarch is one of the best iems money can buy. It is technically accomplished and very detailed while remaining musical.
Sub Bass on Monarch is unparalleled, it goes deep, rumbles and shines when it need to without bleeding in the mids. It's very artfully tuned.
Mids are clear and transparent. There is no extra added warmth or emphasis on lower mids. This makes for a very transparent and neutral signature in mids. Some people might find male vocals a bit thin, but this can be remedied with a warm source.
Treble on Monarch is the best I have heard in any iem. The EST drivers deliver a very detailed yet smooth upper range. You hear everything and it is wondeful. Resolution is a 10/10.
Monarch is a very technical iem with great separation, detail and layering.
The only improvement I can think of would be a bit more mid bass energy, to give more life to kick drums. This can be of course adjusted with some EQ.
Other than that, this king reigns supreme in iem land.
For the first time, an IEM met and exceeded my expectations and excitement . Came back from Djing in Club LIV (SouthBeach, Miami) over the long weekend and this was waiting to be opened. This IEM is just fantastic. Does everything well paired with the right DAP. Sony ZX507 is my daily driver and this is the perfect pairing vs my N3Pro and Sony A55. TOTL tuning for 1/6th of the price. Buy it asap.
The dynamic driver hits the bass better than BAs. I just does. I have Moondrop S8 and yeah all the sounds/music is "smoother" and easy to listen to to. I however have never had these IEMs sound harsh or make me want to take a break. They hit sharply where the S8s don't and it is pleasurable in that it doesn't hold back. The S8s have a place definitely but technically and transparency of these Monarch IEMs is the best I have heard and I appreciate them so much. They are TOTL for me, your milage may vary. S8s are definitely TOTL for some folks too - bass is too important to me for them to be that for me. I recommend the 100 ohm inline filter for these like crinacle recommends - it actually is audibly made a difference to me surprisingly.
The 2 pin issue - isn't new, other options are available and I am hopeful for the new solutions. I am content with the 2 pin thing slipping out. If that is my only issue, it is a non-issue. The other issue was kind of an issue which I am requesting it be fixed. The metal part where the ear tips and wax filters connect actually came off of one. The customer service has been great - just waiting to get these back repaired. Photo of issue attached just for reference.
Oddly enough while both these things seem like they are red flags - I 100% recommend these IEMs. That are like going from going from out of the box iems to blon 3s as far as a surprise factor. They are orders of magnitude beyond that - Amazing, just amazing. I am not even caffeinated this morning so this is pretty low key excitement about something I genuinely feel comfortable recommending to other folks.
The 100 Ohm resisters that were mentioned are worth it. If nothing else they immediately remove a noise floor from any amp - which in itself is significant. The bass boost was noticeable for me, but YMMV. I prefer balanced 2.5 mm, honestly you won't notice a difference in 3.5 aux resisters and are still worth it. The only place I found these sold in an professionally made sort of way is penon audio. I get no kick back for endorsing these - they are solid though. About 15-16 USD.
My Benchmade EDC pocketknife in the photo - can also recommend. I is 551-S30V Griptilian just as a reference.

Like other reviews says Monarch has excellent sound.
But Monarch has a big problem.
The durability of the 2pin connector is very weak and cracks occur.
If the cracks develop more and more, it can cause major problems with the unit.
This problem is a major flaw in the product, and I cannot recommend this product to anyone unless an improved version is officially released.

入烧一年，目前买过过最好听的塞子，没有之一。现在用的iPhone➕官方小白直推，就已经锤爆其他所有塞子在rme adi2 dac上的表现了（大法m9，fd5，qoa Adonis，tin t5，ie40p）。
形容一下我现在的感受，就类似我高中用着几百块垃圾耳机的时候，第一次听森海hd800的感觉。头一次听到这么多强的塞子。好听程度甚至不输我的一些大耳。
声音特色就不多说了，crinacle的评测已经写的很到位了，就tm一个字，强。
I have a lot of IEM‘s ….for me, this is the best sounding IEM i ever had!
….but it needs power to drive!
