perfectible top of the top

This mp145 is a must. Everithing about the music is just near the perfection to my ears.
Stage, space, details, bass, medium, ambiance, warmth, colour and brightness, everithing is very good. Every frequence is clear. Perfect for flac or wav, but also improving and redifining the mp3. The cable is also very good, no "stetoscopic" effect, but I think the jack connection could be a little bit less proeminent, so it could be more ergonomic and less fragile in the pocket.
Also, the colour is fragile, I think it sould be sold with a kind of box with distinctive places for each unit. The structure seems to be very solid and made for long term service.
It is quite stable enough in the ear, after position is adjusted, very profond in the canal.
So, that is the first time I experirence such a good sound in earbuds.
For me it is for sure one of the best hifi earbuds, better than really expansive ones.
Maybe one day the same with full 5hz to 40khz for the fun honestly, and a true box and an ergonomic jack connection ?
International delivery to France took just 10 days, with 5 days in France for process, no tax added.
Once in place, I don't want to take off, so comfortable and good, yes that's one of these...
Many thanks

A very special planar IEM

MP145 is a very very special iem. Prior to trying them, I had read a lot of good reviews from others, and now, having experienced these iems myself, I truly understand why they are regarded as something truly special.

Build Quality:

These iems are built like a tank. They have a metal body and a design that takes inspiration from whales. The shells are on the heavier side, though the weight is well distributed, and I don't find them bulky. People with small ears can have a bit of a fit issue.

Sound:

I mostly spent my time on the pink nozzle, which I find balanced. MP145 has a very pleasant tuning with a hint of planar timbre but is not overwhelming. I find a relaxed tuning on the iems. The bass on it is quite decent. There is a midbass focus. Subbass is prominent too but does not go very deep. I like the quantity of bass on it—just the right amount—not less, not more. The bass maintains it's decency by not disturbing the higher frequencies.

The mids have a good body and have sweetness. Vocals are rich and feel natural. Lower mids benefit from the bass and gain weight. There is some brightness in the upper mids, but nothing sharp or harsh.

Treble has very decent energy. There is a good sense of airiness and openness. I find the treble very controlled and not too energetic. It does not get sharp and piercing, so I find it safe for long listening sessions. Cymbals and high-hat sounds are enjoyable with the right amount of splash and energy.

The soundstage on these iems is quite wide. One of the widest I have noticed in planars. Together with very accurate imaging, I find these iems very capable on the technical front. The resolution is very good, as is the detailing. Instruments are well separated, and the sounds come out quite clean. These iems work well for most of the genres. They are not hard to drive, but they do sound more open from a powerful source.

Conclusion:

These iems make me smile every time I put them on. The tuning is very impressive, and the sound is exceptional for this price range. The sound is expansive with a high level of resolution. There is nothing that I can complain about. I reach out to them more than any other planars—Klanar and Letshuoer S15. They are good, but not as special as the MP145. I love these so much that I want to get another pair in a different color. There is a limited titanium edition too, which I find quite interesting. Highly recommended.

Excellent IEM for MP3 or better, EQ or no EQ, amplified or unamplified

I reviewed these on headfi:

The difference between these and a dynamic driver is that they're faster and more articulated, having a much firmer/planted note weight than a dynamic or at least the one's I'm used to (which is also a Hidizs). They have a very natural tonality and when listening to singular instruments their emotion is very noticeable. While there's a little less bass impact they seem to hit lower, offering a 2.1-type of sound whereas dynamic drivers offer a 2.0-sound, the bass being extremely separated and deep and it translates to enjoyment. While it's easier to meet their distortion limits with EQ they still can be molded into a more-fun profile. Their original tuning is very pleasing; nothing is over-done or peaky yet they're still very clear, I assume a lot of people wouldn't need or want to use EQ with these. They make certain genres come alive, like rock/metal and live music, including EDM. For fast-paced double kicks from metal drumming they handle it very well, never muddying up. I like them for Youtube more than their MS-1 because they never get too bright with any of Youtubes' EQ settings. They're good with 320kbps MP3s but they're especially good with higher quality FLAC files, a little EQ and an amplifier. They rival my Grado 80X in post-EQ capability but without EQ so these may be my new sound quality reference. I'd like to hear the 7hz Timless to compare because it's far up on Crinacles IEM ranking list at only $220 USD, if these are similarly capable you could save yourself $60.

Complaints: the cable braid that wraps around my ear isn't as firm as their MS-1 cable and while it's easy to put on it's also easier to fall off so I can't exercise with them but I can walk with them. They fit well on me but are too heavy and bulky for my girlfriends ears.

I wish they came with a mic because I'd use them for gaming which they do sound great for and better than their MS-1 that I also recommend for gaming because those do have a mic.
